The Odyssey Project!

Below are 3 choices for an Odyssey project. They will be done individually, but if you choose the video project, you may have other classmates participate. A detailed set of instructions are below as well, but be sure to complete all aspects of the project.

1) Write a Choose Your Own Adventure book! You will write a series of short stories based on The Odyssey. At the end of each page, you must leave your readers with a choice, and depending on the choice they make will determine how their story ends up. There must also be illustrations or visuals for your book.
Ex. While leaving the cave of the Cyclops, Odysseus decides to:
Thank the gods that he and his men escaped... turn to page 3 or
Continue to insult the Cyclops and make fun of him.... turn to page 5
     - Each decision will lead to a different version of the story with a minimum of 6 pages and 3 choices.

2) Create a 3-Dimensional sculpture depicting one of the scenes/characters from the Odyssey. It must be creative and polished. You must also write a 1 page essay analyzing how the sculpture represents the story.

3) Create a well-acted, thoroughly produced, and expertly edited video. It can be a classic or modern interpretation of the Odyssey. You will then write a 1 page synopsis of the video and the story-line.

Though each of these projects has a creative element, there is also a written component that must be typed and printed. QUALITY is the most important thing. Take pride in your work, do not wait until the last minute, and have fun!

Projects are due:  Thursday, March 27th. Make the projects REALLY good! They are worth 200 points!
